Equivalent Fractions

We have been learning to make fractions using play dough and working out a simpler equivalent fraction.

3D nets

Recently we have been learning about using a 3D net. We predicted whether a net would make a shape and then made them. Then we made 3D shapes and drew the different nets.

Each class has been given the challenge to create an A3 artwork of Mary Mac Killop for the foyer.

Room 6 just voted. We are now ranked 14! Although I think the online counter has not kept up with our votes since we voted more than 15 times!

During reading time after the children have finished their comprehension questions and vocabulary work they work collaboratively to research something that they have read about and would like to know more about. On Friday morning they present their work to the class.  Today Josh and Copeland presented and  Atonio, Patrick, Remuel and Olo showed theirs. 

WALT to insert PNG and animated images into google draw

Today we had a play around with using PNG images and animated images. We tried to make it look like we were interacting with the animals.
